SoftCo, the Dublin-based developer of business process and document management solutions, has selected TransLogic as a solutions partner for the southern African territories.

The partnership will allow TransLogic to deliver enterprise-grade document management solutions to enterprise and government customers.

According to Ted Laverty, marketing director at SoftCo, the move is in line with the company's commitment to SA, with the likes of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) and Resolution Underwriters already using SoftCo's technology.

“We are delighted to appoint TransLogic as solutions partner in South Africa,” Laverty said of the appointment.

“As a partner with a track record of delivering strategic ERP solutions to customers across multiple industry verticals, TransLogic represents a strong fit for our channel in the region.”

A technology solutions provider specialising in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP/3 and Syspro, TransLogic will deliver SoftCo R8-powered business solutions to enterprise, government and SME customers.

“The addition of SoftCo R8 document management and BPA solutions represents an exciting development for our business,” said Moutie Abrahams, director at TransLogic. According to Abrahams, the appointment will give TransLogic the opportunity to streamline business processes and address challenges, while reducing costs for clients.

“The customer-centric approach and the quality of their people was a major factor in entering into this partnership together,” said Laverty.

SoftCo has been active in southern Africa for over a decade, and in working with TransLogic, South African clients will gain access to mature document management technology used by over 1 000 companies worldwide, either on-premise or via SoftCo's cloud infrastructure.

The company's decision to focus on SA was threefold, Laverty notes.

“The stability of its economy, the similarity of time zones to our European head office, and the opportunity to leverage South Africa as a stepping stone to other African countries.”
