Softline ACCPAC has announced the local availability of Insight 5.3, a powerful analytical tool, which helps businesses create and customise reports that withstand the toughest scrutiny.
"The latest version of Insight extends far beyond the general ledger," says Jeremy Waterman, managing director of Softline ACCPAC. "It provides a reliable solution complete with bottom-up budgeting, budget write-back, drill-down, multi-dimensional analysis and other advanced customisation capabilities."
According to results of an internal survey, 60% of ACCPAC business partners agree that Insight provides a distinct competitive advantage as it easily integrates with ACCPAC accounting applications. "Furthermore, users can further increase potential success as the product now delivers more features and greater flexibility at a lower cost," says Waterman.
Insight 5.3 incorporates support for IBM DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL server, offering a choice for data link/data warehouse databases. It offers a simplified module structure with only one data warehouse module and two additional optional modules, namely Insight Universal Database Access and Insight Alerts.
"With the launch of version 5.3, ACCPAC Insight is now a full product set," says Waterman. "The new update allows us to help our new and existing clients to take control of their reporting, data warehousing, budgeting and consolidation needs."
