Sage BI v5.0 is a full service release and is a complete replacement of Sage BI v4. It boasts several new enhancements such as extended support for inserted rows and columns; none empty cross joins; dimension name caption; improved connection management; report layout panel improvements and changes can now be made to drill to detail timeout periods.
Ellington says there are new functions for Sage Line 500 customers as well: "There are added fields to the financial solution, which means is now writes the analysis codes to the data warehouse as well as journal number and description. This allows consultants to easily add these fields to the customer's solutions." He says another feature is support for product hierarchy fields.
