Softline Enterprise, a leading supplier of ERP (enterprise resource planning) solutions, has emerged as one of the biggest scorers in Forrester Research's Wave report with its CRM product, SalesLogix.
The report evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of eight of the leading mid-market on-premise sales force automation (SFA) products across 151 criteria. The evaluation complements the April 2005 Forrester Wave of the hosted SFA vendors.
According to Forrester Research, mid-market companies, or those with 100 to 999 employees, had significant and obvious differences from SMBs, or those companies with less than 99 employees. In the upper mid-market, the ability to integrate, be very customisable and have a workflow driven solution is what really drove the leaders. For smaller businesses, costs, out-of-the-box functionality and being a pre-packaged solution are what users are looking for from vendors.
In the mid-market product evaluation and small business category, Softline Enterprises' SalesLogix CRM product was ranked as a leader, while Softline's parent company, Sage, was voted as one of the best all-in-one solutions as a result of its acquisition of strong ERP providers.
Ashley Ellington, managing director, Softline Enterprise, is thrilled at the announcement: "To have SalesLogix identified as leading CRM solution is a tremendous accolade. We trust that this announcement will go a long way in reconfirming the product as powerful CRM solution for our clients."
