Softline VIP, one of the leading developers, implementers and support providers of payroll and human resource management software for small to large organisations in South Africa, has placed second in the medium category of the 2010 Deloitte's Best Company To Work For Survey. This is the second year that the company has participated, placing fourth in 2009 in the same category of 300-2 500 employees.

The company also received a “standard of excellence” acknowledgement, which is for those who achieved an overall score higher than 75%.
Van Heerden says Softline VIP employees will always be his first priority and as a result, employer branding will always be a focal point for the company. Softline VIP HR director, Anja Hartman-Weitz says that 20% of the appointments made by the company constitute ex-employees wanting to work for the company again. “This supports the idea that being an employer of choice is an advantage in the war for talent. As a result of this, we also save on training costs and ex-employees are more profitable as they can start generating income immediately.”
