Software AG South Africa has announced senior management changes in its local operation.

Darren Roos, Chief Operating Officer, Software AG said: "In line with the success of the South African business, and also the need to develop the Africa strategy to open up the continent and grow our African business stream, we have restructured the sales operation in the South African office. This is in line with the growth and opportunities we see in the market, as well as a commitment to meeting both local and African business process management needs."

The following changes are effective immediately:

1. Emma Murray - Senior Vice-President, Africa. Murray will remain involved in the SA business, with a primary role in developing the Africa business and beginning the process of expanding up into Africa through clients and partners.

2. Ike Kunene - Vice-President, South Africa Sales. Kunene will assume the daily responsibility for the BPE licence sales of the SA operation.

3. Cindy-Anne Passet - Marketing Director. Passet joined Software AG on 1 September and will support the Africa initiative while working very closely with Kunene and the South African business.

4. Sandy Redgate - Partner manager, Africa. Redgate will be responsible for setting up the programme for Africa and South Africa.

5. Nomhle Mujakachi - Partner manager, public sector SA, managing the partners in the public sector market.

6. Odette Barnard - Sales operations, Africa, responsible for all reporting, revenue recognition and other processes and will have an active involvement in the South African operation.

7. Patrick Shields - Pre-sales manager, Africa. The pre-sales team will be a vital component of the Africa strategy, as well as having a strong emphasis on the South African business.

8. Stephanie Cronje - Pre-sales. Cronje will specifically be working with ARIS opportunities.

9. Scott Beattie - Regional Sales Manager, Cape Town, is new to Software AG and will be based in the newly-opened Cape office.

10. Thando Nkutha - Regional Sales Manager, Local Government.

Roos concludes: "We have been significantly expanding the SA team over the past two years and these changes are in support of building the business and taking advantage of our leadership position as much as possible into the next phase of Software AG's geographical expansion plans.
