Software AG user conference gets new name, new look

* ProcessForum brings Software AG and IDS Scheer strategies, visions and solutions together for SA debut.
* Conference to be held in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Johannesburg, 22 Jul 2010

Software AG's Innovation World and IDS Scheer's ProcessWorld have merged into one must-attend customer event for local users.

Entitled ProcessForum 2010, it will be held on 12 August at Misty Hills Convention Centre, Muldersdrift, north of Johannesburg, and in Cape Town on 2 September at the Cape Town Convention Centre.

“With Software AG acquiring IDS Scheer, and establishing a new global producer of business process excellence with more than 6 000 employees and more than EUR1 billion in revenue, it was decided to merge the two annual user events globally,” says Dominique Zuma, marketing director for Software AG. “We have followed this strategy here in SA and ProcessForum 2010 is the first major public event showcasing the combined strengths of both companies.”

Software AG's strengths are: technology leadership in middleware software, financial strength and a global presence complement IDS Scheer's strengths: the modelling, implementation and controlling of business processes, a strong partner network and a large service presence in their approximately 7 500 customer base. The ARIS suite and consultancy services - previously from IDS Scheer - also offers extensive industry expertise and direct access to vertical markets and a strong presence in the SAP consulting business.

Zuma said: “There is a large installed base of ARIS solutions in enterprises across the country, but especially in Cape Town. So we feel we need to give those customers the choice to attend the ProcessForum in either Johannesburg or Cape Town. We have tailored the agenda to deliver something for everyone - from Adabas and Natural to ARIS and webMethods.”

Keynote speaker Chief Product Officer Dr Peter K"urpick from Software AG Germany will present the company's roadmap and vision, and Karlheinz Kronauer, Director Product Management, also from Germany, will introduce and demonstrate the new NaturalONE product. Technical papers and customer case studies will also be presented. There will also be several demonstration areas for the ProcessForum sponsors, which include CPI, Gijima Group, Cronus, Trivector, Business Connexion realIRM, and Lincoln & Associates.

“Our customers and partners look forward to this annual event as it gives them the opportunity to network with their industry peers and to see our roadmap for future directions,” says Zuma.

ProcessForum is free - details, registration and a full agenda may be found at http://www.processforumsouthafrica.com/registration.html.
