SecureData Security, part of JSE-listed SecureData Holdings and the sub-Saharan distributor for Check Point Software Technologies, today announced the latter's new security gateway, the Check Point Series 80 Appliance, designed for remote and branch offices and delivering 1.5 gigabits performance.
The new Series 80 Appliance is based on the Check Point Software Blade Architecture and provides the same security and flexibility enjoyed by larger offices and enterprises.
The Series 80 includes several software blades, including firewall, IPS, VPN, anti-virus and anti-malware, URL filtering, anti-spam and e-mail security software.
The new appliance delivers the best price/performance in its class. In addition, it offers the highest port density with 10GbE ports to manage the entire branch network in one appliance and comes in a small desktop form factor ideal for remote branch offices. The Series 80 is based on Check Point security technologies that today secure all of the Fortune 100 companies.

These policies, along with other security profiles, can be automatically applied to remote office gateways to simplify deployment, reduce IT overhead and maintain strong security consistency.
