Software Futures is hosting the Rational User Forum 2003 in Cape Town and Johannesburg on 11 and 13 November respectively.
The forum aims to educate users about IBM Rational's solutions, allow existing customers and users to sharpen their skills, and to provide a platform for networking among users.
"Every member of the development team can come away with the technical insight and practical knowledge needed to leverage Rational's comprehensive set of development tools and services for maximum success," says Trevor van Rensburg, business unit manager, development best practices at Software Futures.
Guest speaker, Peter Eeles, from IBM Rational UK, has spent much of his career architecting and implementing large-scale, distributed systems. He is the Worldwide Community of Practice Lead for Model-Driven Development, assisting organisations in adopting the Rational Unified Process and the Rational toolset.
In addition to the guest speaker, there will be 16 technical presentations, a buffet lunch and cocktail snacks.
In Johannesburg, the forum will be held at the Volkswagen Conference Centre in Midrand and in Cape Town, the Sanlam Auditorium in Voortrekker Street. Forum registration kicks off at 8am with the keynote address at 9am, wrapping up just after 4pm with cocktails served until 6pm.
