Software helps manage spend

Emptoris, a global provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, has fully deployed its spend analysis, sourcing and contract management solutions at the Home Office of the UK government, according to PR-Canada.

The aim of the new solutions is to assist the Home Office in better managing its £1.8 billion-per-annum spend on goods and services.

After a detailed process in 2008, the Home Office selected to implement the entire Emptoris supply and contract management software suite to support its transformation of the procurement function.

MaintenanceNet expands in EMEA

Responding to rising demand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), MaintenanceNet, provider of extended warranty and maintenance contract management services, has expanded operations across the region while adding a new EMEA business manager, according to Earth Times.

MaintenanceNet serves the largest electronics and technology manufacturers in the world, including Fortune 100 and Fortune Global 500 organisations.

According to Scott Herron, CEO of MaintenanceNet, as these organisations break into emerging markets in EMEA, they are requiring their sales organisations to place a stronger emphasis on services.
