Maconomy has unveiled People Planner, a software solution that combines resource management with project planning to integrate vital project information. The solution is suitable for planners and managers at all levels in organisations, the company says.
The integration of the software enables users to combine the graphical planning capabilities of People Planner with the advanced project management features of Maconomy, without affecting existing processes.
This addresses the challenge of keeping track of processes in a project, which has always been a key task, according to Maconomy.
Jacques du Bussoin, Maconomy new business manager, says businesses can use People Planner “on any scale from day one, without affecting other business processes and with little or no impact on IT infrastructure, making implementation fast and easy".
People Planner provides a snapshot of the resource situation and reduces the risk of lost profit caused by resources being under-utilised, as people could have been assigned to profitable activities, he says.
"Business experts within an organisation can easily configure the system without assistance from external consultants as configuration is based on drag-and-drop.”
