Software to minimise energy use

ManageEngine, makers of a globally renowned suite of cost-effective , systems and management software solutions, has updated Desktop Central, the company's Web-based Windows Desktop Management Software, reports msnbc

.

It has been designed with new features to help enterprises reduce the level of power consumed by PCs.

The updated Desktop Central allows administrators to virtually eliminate unnecessary power consumption, reducing their company's carbon footprint and its energy bills, while generating revenue through power-usage reporting, which is key to claiming rebates from local utility companies.

The Indian arm of global IT management company, CA, says that it would soon appoint an interim successor to its MD (India and SAARC), Ninad Karpe, who is set to take over as CEO of an Indian company, According to indopia.

A company spokesperson says CA has already unveiled its recruiting efforts to explore India's huge talent pool of business leaders for a successor to Karpe

CA India was also exploring the possibility of tapping the potential from within and has been seeking in-house applications as well for the job, it stated.
