Softworx, in partnership with Infor, recently sponsored the East Africa CIO 100 Annual Symposium and awards held over two days at Enashipai Resort & Spa, Naivasha in Kenya. CIOs and other company representatives, from the entire east Africa region attended the event.
Over 175 delegates registered. The Ruby Sponsorship package allowed Softworx to showcase its Infor Master Partner accreditation. The event proved to be a good grandstand for the launch of the Softworx and Infor brands in the region.
An exhibition stand, presentation slot and co-branding of all event materials formed part of the Ruby sponsorship package. The opportunity was put to good use with brochures slipped into delegate registration bags.
Chris Thomas, Softworx Business Development Executive, Africa, presented the Infor strategy to delegates. The four-ring approach of Architecture of the Internet, Purpose Built Software, Beautiful Software and Cloud was well received by the attendees. Attendees were encouraged to consider their own organisations' information strategies when considering new business software purchases.
The gala dinner proved to be a glitz and glamour event. Thomas was granted the privilege of announcing and handing over the Plus One Award for Education to the Kenya National Library. Kevin Kinyanjui, IS Director at Kenya Airways, is the 2014 incumbent of the CIO of the Year award.
The event proved to be a huge success for Softworx and Infor with expansive exposure given to both brands.
