Softworx, a division of EOH and distributor of Infor in sub-Saharan Africa, was recently awarded the Channel Partner award for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Infor's Partner Summit held in Marbella, Spain. The award was presented in acknowledgement of Softworx's all-round performance during Infor's 2008 financial year.
For the past 20 years, Softworx has focused on Infor solutions in enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, performance management and customer relationship management, specifically for the consumer packaged goods, process, pharmaceutical and industrial equipment industries.
Infor, the world's third-largest provider of business software, with revenues of $2.2 billion, 70 000 customers and 9 000 employees, has 400 channel partners in EMEA. The summit in Marbella was attended by many of these, together with senior Infor management and product specialists.
Jane Thomson, MD of Softworx, says the award is well-deserved recognition for the hard work and effort her team has put in over the last year. “Softworx cannot exist without Infor. Staff and customers will have heard me say that we get up in the morning to be the best partner we possibly can be for Infor - we don't do anything else, sell any other products, or market any other services.”
She adds that it is particularly pleasing to see the direction Infor is taking with its new solutions. The company has acquired best-of-breed business software and is now making it better through its “evolve” strategy - creating service-oriented architecture-ready components that customers can deploy in their own time and at their own pace. “Infor is truly living its aim to make the customers' lives easier - no complex, large, risky upgrades and no forced migrations. We look forward to another year of being able to give our customers and Infor outstanding service.”
