Sony has announced the availability of three new ultra-portable projectors within the SuperLite series that combine high brightness, fashionable styling and 'intelligent' set-up in a highly mobile package.
"Weighing just 2,7 kg, all three projectors (the VPL-CX6, VPL-CS6 and VPL-EX1) can be shared between office departments, classrooms or used on the move," notes Sony Business SA product manager, Display Solutions, Marius Louw.
The VPL-CX6 provides a spectacular brightness of 2000 ANSI lumen at XGA resolution and a full range of performance features, including Memory Stick PRO removable media for PC-less presentations. The VPL-CS6 is an entry-level 1800 ANSI-lumen SVGA projector that is affordable, and features a new short-throw focal lens for smaller classrooms and conference rooms. Sony's SuperLite projector series also includes a 1500 ANSI-lumen, low-cost, high-performance, entry-level XGA display, the VPL-EX1.
In addition to Memory Stick media, a presenter using the VPL-CX6 can also store and run their PowerPoint(r) presentation on a Sony CLI'E(tm) handheld device equipped with MARGI's Presenter-to-Go(tm) software.
Drag and drop' Projector Station software makes it easy to create slide shows or on-screen movies by using JPEG files or an MPEG-1 movie file.
These projectors use Sony's original Virtual Light system with a superior-high-aperture liquid-crystal panel and an ultra-bright 165W UHP lamp. An elliptical reflector provides an extremely smooth surface that collects light more efficiently, and a concave lens provides a very small and precise light source.
"Sony's SuperLite projectors also feature a wide array of computer and video inputs, remote control capabilities and pre-programmable options," explains Louw. "The units also include a USB port and offer the ability to advance PowerPoint slides by wireless mouse and remote control."
