Sophos, VMVault in cloud partnership

protection company, Sophos, has partnered with infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and cloud provider, VMVault, resembling a new kind of partnership for the vendor in the Australia and New Zealand region, ARN reveals.

As part of the agreement, VMVault will provide its network of small to medium-sized business (SME) managed service provider (MSP) partners with the infrastructure to host cloud solutions, while Sophos will provide its complete security suite of products.

According to Rob Forsyth, Sophos director, APAC, the partnership with VMVault is the first of its kind for the company in Australia and will provide an opportunity to build on the company's growth strategy in the region, ITWire writes.

“This will be a new kind of partnership for Sophos in the ANZ region. It will meet the needs of Australian SME MSP partners that want to provide managed security and protection services to their customers without the need to provide the infrastructure necessary to support these solutions independently.”

“VMVault is one of the leading hosted virtualisation companies in Australia. This relationship gives VMVault access to leading security solutions that provide them with strategic advantages in the market,” Forsyth said. “It creates the platform to provide SME partners Sophos security products in the cloud, while helping VMVault forge a distinctive place in a highly competitive market, broadening its portfolio and partner value proposition.”
