Cyberlogic, a South African-based company specialising in the maintenance and support of IT networks, has grown its monthly recurring revenue by 116% year-on-year by implementing the Kaseya IT Automation Framework to deliver enterprise-level managed services to small to medium-sized businesses.
Using the Kaseya framework to centralise and automate control of all client IT systems has increased Cyberlogic's capacity to take on new and international clients without hiring additional staff, while guaranteeing highly competitive service level agreements for its rapidly expanding customer base.
The Kaseya automation framework sits at the heart of Cyberlogic's managed services offering, and is used to remotely and securely manage, control and maintain more than 500 PCs and servers, through a single Web-based interface. Constant network monitoring, with the scheduling and automation of procedures like patch management, virus detection and software audits, ensures all client PCs and servers are supported simultaneously, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week.
The unique, encrypted remote control features of the Kaseya framework have almost eliminated the need for staff to travel to customer sites to fix problems or carry out routine systems maintenance, allowing Cyberlogic to expand its services internationally and manage endpoints in any location. The company is also supporting a number of clients' VIPs and sales executives, who frequently work internationally.
Edge Bisset, CEO of Cyberlogic, says: “The growth and agility of our business was limited by the number of man hours we could provide, but adding more staff was costly and slow recruitment processes made it difficult for us to respond quickly to customer demand. Using Kaseya, we can offer comprehensive managed services to corporate networks in any location with confidence, guaranteeing the highest levels of reliability, security and performance.”
Key features of the Kaseya automation framework include:
* Automated patch management
* Easy scripting for scheduling and automating tasks
* Automated hardware inventory and software inventory and audits
* System monitoring and event alerts
* Secure, encrypted remote control
* Management reporting
* Powerful anti-virus and anti-spyware detection
* Offsite backup and disaster recovery
According to Bisset, Kaseya's established presence in South Africa was also a key consideration when selecting the technology: “Aside from the strong technical features of the Kaseya product, the fact that the company has a presence in South Africa and is growing this presence in Africa is a great advantage. Local representation was a major consideration when choosing a partner which system would effectively become the heart of our operation.”
Garth Hayward, Regional Manager Africa, Kaseya, adds: “Cyberlogic is an outstanding example of the success that IT service providers can enjoy by adopting a managed services approach that will rapidly grow their client base and profitability. Faced with a decreasing availability of qualified technical skills, the Kaseya framework is ideally suited to African-based IT service providers, which can remotely and automatically support an increasing number of companies. Through an automated approach, the traditional constraint to IT services growth and world-class service level delivery is a relic of the past and the growth of our African-based partners is set to accelerate rapidly over the next five years.
