Space Age Technologies today announced it has been selected as a finalist for Microsoft's Worldwide Partner of the Year Award in Networking Infrastructure Solutions.
Winners for the 2007 Microsoft Partner Program Awards, which recognise top Microsoft Partners delivering market-leading, Microsoft-based solutions, will be announced on 11 July in Denver, Colorado at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.
"We are very pleased to have been selected as one of the top players for Microsoft in networking solutions worldwide. To receive such esteemed recognition is a major achievement for us and adds tremendous credibility to our service offering," says Mark Geschke, MD of SAT.
Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of more than 1 800 entrants worldwide. The Networking Infrastructure Solutions Partner of the Year award honours partners that have infrastructure practices with proven proficiency in implementing solutions based on the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 or Windows Server 2003 Operating Systems. These awards also recognise partners with innovative services-based solutions that help small and midsize customers realise their potential by providing operational efficiencies with the help of Windows Server and other related infrastructure technologies.
The winning partner has provided its customers with technology solutions that have resulted in core infrastructure transformation; whether this was their first server or it was a migration from competitive or legacy systems, this partner helped customers build a strong infrastructure foundation layer that supports their business goals.
"We have a diverse and talented partner ecosystem that each year raises the bar in the design and deployment of customer solutions built on Microsoft technologies," said Allison L Watson, corporate vice-president, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Group.
"We are pleased to recognise Space Age Technologies as one of our partners leading the field in this category."
As the reigning South African Small Business Partner and Networking Infrastructure Solution Provider of the year, SAT is very optimistic about its future. The company has been a dedicated Microsoft partner since 1996 and has held the Gold Certification for the past three years.
SAT has grown from a mere handful of support technicians to an esteemed team of dedicated and highly talented individuals recognised as specialists in the field of managed IT services within the SME market.
"This achievement visibly confirms our strategy and is a clear sign that we are moving closer to our vision of becoming the market-leading IT service provider to small and medium organisations with head offices in and around Cape Town," concludes Geschke.
