Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) today announced that Spanish pharmaceutical leader Almirall Prodesfarma has deployed an "executive dashboard" built with CA`s CleverPath Forest & Trees.
The dashboard, designed and developed by CA partner 9Tres Integral Services, provides Almirall Prodesfarma`s sales organisation with the ability to dynamically analyse vital data from Lotus Notes, SAP and other externally processed sources - enabling managers and salespeople to make smarter, faster business decisions.
The ability to effectively analyse sales activity is crucial in the pharmaceutical industry, where vast information is typically gathered on the buying patterns of doctors, hospitals and other key channels. This typically includes both a company`s own products and those of its competitors. By rigorously analysing this information, managers and salespeople can determine where opportunities can be better exploited to drive increased sales volume.

Using CleverPath Forest & Trees, 9Tres Integral Services created a highly-visual executive dashboard that gives managers and salespeople a clear picture of the performance of any individual, group of individuals, or geographic area classified by product, family of products or any other predefined criteria. Information can be expanded or collapsed with the click of the mouse. "Traffic light" codes indicate how well actual business performance is aligning with the company`s stated objectives.
The new system has fulfilled both the business and the technical requirements of the company. Almirall Prodesfarma`s 700-person sales force in Spain collects business data on their laptops using a customized Lotus Notes application. Sales and competitive information is periodically sent to a central data warehouse for analysis. Salespeople also receive a subset of this information as personal data marts for competitive analysis.
The CleverPath Forest & Trees application development environment is particularly attractive to CA partners like 9Tres Integral Services because it is designed specifically for the rapid development of compelling dashboard applications.
