Evolis Card Solutions has just launched its new entry-level printer, which Spec Systems predicts will take the entry-level card personalisation market by storm.
Where both Tattoo2 and Pebble4 models have had great success, the Zenius fills the space of low cost (comparable to the Tattoo2), but specifications and benefits leaning more toward the Pebble4. Combined with the new Evolis Premium Suite software, which incorporates a desktop printer manager and 24/7 Web-based online support, this is truly a value option for ad hoc card personalisation and issuing.
Says Hayley-Sue Stenning, National Card Sales Manager: "The design, ergonomics and aesthetics have been completely reviewed. The Zenius is front operated, making it much easier for day-to-day use and maintenance."
The consumable offering is much wider, and the ribbon loading is an easy insertion of a cassette. This cassette (including all colours and configurations) will, through a chip, allow for automatic driver settings. This is all part of the new High Trust consumable range launched with this state-of-the-art printer. The consumables are also very competitively and aggressively priced.
“This fantastic printer will be available in two different lines: Classic - a USB connected (Ethernet optional extra) print-only model; and Expert (December 2011) - a USB connected (Ethernet optional extra) print and encode (Magnetic, Chip and Contactless) model.”
