Speedier rollout for Windows 2000

AST ESM, a division of the AST Group, has introduced a solution for the rapid deployment of Windows 2000, as well as end-to-end automated software management for enterprise IT environments. Novadigm`s e-wrap technology, the foundation for its EDM and Radia products, has been expanded to take advantage of capabilities in Microsoft`s Windows 2000 operating system.

Novadigm allows a phased approach to a Windows 2000 and Office 2000 environment. Customers can install, manage and repair existing applications and new Windows Installer-enabled applications, and also use Active Directory to implement software entitlement and policy management for existing Windows platforms without waiting for a complete implementation of Windows 2000.

Thus, Novadigm provides an evolutionary bridge from one environment to the next, speeding the adoption of Windows 2000 and Active Directory, and providing a smooth transition of IT infrastructure that is transparent to the user community.
