Spescom DataVoice has announced recording support for all major IP telecommunications platforms via an enhancement to its flagship Libra recorder.
The Libra DataVoice recording platform has been designed for application in the small and medium enterprise (SME) market. The upgrade facilitates the provision of recording support for industry-standard H.323 and RTP IP telephony platforms.
According to Pieter du Preez, Spescom DataVoice marketing manager, support for recording RTP is built into the standard recorder platform.
IP telephony is one of the major growth areas in the communications, general IT and convergence arenas.
"Growth in any technology application market invariably leads to interoperability problems between add-on services, such as telephony, recording and platform standards. Therefore, there is a need for synergy between different systems or platforms, resulting in seamless communication and collaboration.
"For industry-standard H.323 or RTP IP VOIP systems, Spescom DataVoice provides an integrated recording solution, coupled to the powerful performance management and speech analytics tools available via the Libra recording platform" concludes du Preez.
Du Preez notes that the product has already been successfully deployed in the field.
