Spescom DataVoice today announced that it has joined the Cisco Architecture for Voice and Video Integrated Data (Cisco AVVID) Partner Programme as an IP Telephony Solutions member. Through membership in the Cisco AVVID Partner Programme, the DataVoice IP Recorder 2.2 provides integration of IP telephony recording with Cisco CallManager 3.1 call processing software to offer a converged solution for enterprise customers.
Spescom provides solutions in the areas of access network; enterprise information management; multimedia transaction recording; broadcast; customer contact centres; and test and measurement. The DataVoice IP recorder 2.2 provides reliable real-time recording, storage and retrieval of pure IP telephony sessions. Aimed at the financial, customer contact centre and the emergency services market segments, this DataVoice solution caters for the most demanding environments and is fully integrated with the Cisco Call Manager at a CTI level.
The Cisco AVVID Partner Programme sets criteria for interoperability testing by independent third-parties and is a co-marketing programme enabling leading product and services firms to deploy innovative e-business solutions. The program provides enterprise customers with information regarding Cisco AVVID Partner products and services that an independent testing facility has tested, verified and found to interoperate with Cisco networking technology.
Cisco CallManager is the software-based call-processing component of the Cisco enterprise IP telephony solution and a key component of Cisco AVVID. CallManager software extends enterprise telephony features and capabilities to packet telephony network devices such as IP phones, media processing devices, voice-over-IP (VOIP) gateways and multimedia applications.
