JSE-listed Spescom Limited has announced the appointment of Thomas Makore to the position of executive director.
Makore joined the Spescom Group in March 2005 as chief executive officer of Spescom Telecommunications. He is a professional engineer with extensive business and marketing experience in the power, IT and ICT sectors. He previously held senior executive positions at Siemens both in South African and Germany.
Prior to joining Spescom, he held the position of managing director of Diebold SA, a multinational US-based company.
Makore holds a BSc Engineering Honours degree (Electrical) and an MBL. He is a registered professional engineer with the Engineering council of South Africa, as well as a chartered engineer with the UK Engineering Council.
