Ideal Industries, supplier of LAN cable analysers, believes Spescom MeasureGraph is a well-positioned partner to represent the company not only in SA, but also in the sub-Saharan countries. According to product manager Andreas Hahn, the company will reach a much bigger market through its distributor Spescom.
Hahn, who recently visited SA, said Ideal Industries' acquisition of Acterna's LAN cable analysers earlier this year has opened up a new market for the company.
"We wanted to get into the South African market because we believe there will always be a place and need for cable analysers, and to achieve that we need a strong partner. We believe Spescom is the right choice because the company already knows the networking market extremely well and has an established customer base for network testers. Another benefit is that the LanTek product range is well-known in SA."
The purpose of Hahn's journey was to meet and train the Spescom team responsible for Ideal Industries' cable analysers and to visit customers. "It is obvious that the Spescom team is efficient and with the necessary support and training they will take the sales of the LanTek product range to new heights," said Hahn.
Spescom networks division sale manager Hilton Preston said his team appreciated Hahn's visit. It was amazing, after Andreas being in the country for only 48 hours, we were able to help customers with queries and problems. Preston said that Ideal Industries has the vision in place to meet the challenges of testing and certifying data cables. "Together with Ideal Industries we can offer customers analysers that certify cables up to Cat 5E/6 standard."
Spescom MeasureGraph, a subsidiary of JSE-listed Spescom Limited, is the sole Southern African distributor of Ideal Industries product range.
