Spescom Software achieves Microsoft gold certification

Johannesburg, 21 Jul 2005

Spescom Software Inc, the US operation of multinational ICT group, Spescom, has achieved Microsoft's Gold Certified Status in recognition of the company's expertise and impact in the technology marketplace.

This certification forms part of Microsoft Corporation's Partner Programme with competencies in ISV (independent software vendor) software and business intelligence solutions.

Spescom Software is a leading developer of enterprise content, configuration and change management software solutions for mission-critical industrial applications.

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Spescom has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven its ability to meet customer needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support that provides them with a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

According to Spescom Software CEO, Carl Mostert, the company is extremely excited about this development.

"As an industry leader and pioneer in our market space, Spescom is continuously looking to provide our customers with information management solutions that are innovative, cost-effective and address real business needs. The Microsoft Gold status is yet another important differentiator of our proven solutions and allows us to clearly promote our expertise and relationship with Microsoft to our customers. The benefits provided through our certified membership will allow us to continue to enhance the offerings that we provide for customers," says Mostert.

The Microsoft ISV Software and Business Intelligence Solutions Competencies aim to acknowledge the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set. Gold Certified Partners that have obtained these competencies have a successful record of developing and marketing packaged software based on Microsoft technologies.

"Only companies that have demonstrated high levels of customer service, proved their experience and attained advanced certification receive the designation of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner," said Allison Watson, vice-president of the Worldwide Partner Sales and Marketing Group at Microsoft.

"Today, Microsoft recognises Spescom Software for its skills and expertise in providing customer satisfaction with Microsoft products and technology."

With its Gold Certified status, Spescom has access to exclusive Microsoft resources and product information - benefits that the company can pass along to its customers. Those resources include priority access to a dedicated support team of Microsoft certified systems engineers, non-disclosure evaluations of new products and technologies, as well as planning tools and events to stay informed of the latest Microsoft product developments and future directions.
