Spescom supplies recording technology to Nedbank

Johannesburg, 20 Oct 2005

Spescom DataFusion has signed a deal with the Nedbank Group to supply a recording solution to the Global Business division.

Spescom DataFusion MD, Paul Fick, says a DataVoice Libra recording solution will be deployed. "The Libra recorder is a cost-effective, scalable and full-featured digital voice recording system.

"Global Business focuses on foreign banking transactions and therefore the presence of a reliable recording solution is paramount in terms of legal requirements and customer satisfaction," notes Fick.

"The Libra platform will record the telephone conversations of bank employees, thereby acting as proof of transaction. These recordings offer protection for both the bank and its customers against fraud and information gleaned from exchanges may be used for training purposes and quality assurance."
