SPL auto-mate transforms vehicle sales environment

The launch of SPL's Auto-Mate Showroom system is set to transform the motor dealership vehicle sales environment.

That`s according to Ashley Campbell, senior showroom consultant at SPL Auto-Mate, who says Auto-Mate Showroom has been developed in direct response to market demand. " The motor industry made representation to us, stressing the need for a more professional image within the motor dealership vehicle sales environment," she says. " The result is Auto-Mate Showroom, the only system of its kind in South Africa".

Auto-Mate Showroom has been launched to Auto-Mate dealers in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Bloemfontein and East London launches are scheduled for August 1998.

Fully integrated with the Auto-Mate Dealer Management system, Auto-Mate Showroom is the full computerisation of the vehicle sales department of a dealership. The system produces a comprehensive set of reports, including a full deal register and DIC control.

"A major benefit is that once a prospect or customer's details have been entered for the first time, all documentation such as quotations, OTPs and finance application forms can be generated from the system immediately," Campbell says. "This means there is no need for further typing, writing or searching for a typist."

Auto-Mate Showroom allows dealer management to optimise and control second gross income as well as any discounts allowed. In addition, it offers visual quote comparisons, allows for quick quotes and has full financial calculation and rollback calculation facilities.

"The high-level functionality of the system means that dealerships are able to run and control back-end specials and campaigns with ease. Also, it can reduce unsighted deals to almost nil," Campbell says.

"The response to the product from our nationwide user base has been overwhelmingly positive."
