Sprint looks to Samsung

Samsung Telecommunications America has revealed that Sprint is utilising Samsung's mobile WiMax network infrastructure in Baltimore to launch a commercial mobile WiMax service under the XOHM brand, says Market Watch.

XOHM is working with Samsung and other to develop a new network that is designed to mobilise the Internet, bring next-generation wireless innovation to devices and deliver new mobile multimedia applications to consumer, business and government customers.

The mobile WiMax network can deliver broadband access with speeds several times faster than current third-generation wireless networks.

Tone, Communicado deliver convergence

Managed service provider Communicado has partnered with Tone Software to converge their IP telephony and unified communications environments, reports TMCnet.
