The Square One Solutions Group has returned positive financial results for the six months to end June, increasing group turnover by 63% over the same period in 2004.
The business posted an operating profit of R2.359 million compared to R0.979 million for the first six months of 2004. Headline earnings improved from a loss of R0.508 million in 2004 to a profit of R1.069 million in the same period, and headline earnings per share improved from a loss per share of 2.3c in 2004 to a profit of 4.9c per share.
"The ongoing transition of the business to a turnkey, technology-centric solutions provider is paying dividends," said CEO Trevor James. "The results for the first six months are positive and encouraging. The growth and acceptance by the market for solution offerings that truly add quantifiable value, is reflected in both our top line revenue and gross margin contribution lines."
James added that the results were in line with Square One Solutions Group's strategic intent and that its 19 years of business experience with national representation would continue to provide a platform for growth.
