Graphic design and print houses, architects, town planners, government departments and consulting engineers stand to benefit from a new large format printer and scanner distribution partnership between the Square One Solutions Group, a JSE-listed company focusing on IT-based business solutions, and XL Solutions of Meadowdale.
Philippa Dal Medico, channel manager at Square One, said the partnership will provide turnkey and cost-effective large format hardware and software solutions and options to suit the design and drawing office industries, covering the needs of graphics, printing, mapping, construction, engineering, surveying and other enterprises.
"Our experience and long track record as a boutique distributor of colour printers for Bytes Document Solutions, sole distributor in sub-Saharan Africa for Xerox, will knit well with XL Solutions, an official supplier of a wide range of large format equipment in South Africa."
The agreement will cover a range of mono digital large format laser multifunctional printers, Canon large format inkjet printers, Colortrac large format scanners that also provide users with an electronic archiving solution, and Ratio plotter management software solutions.
"We have traditionally formed strategic alliances with our reseller partners to ensure that our expertise built up over more than two decades in top range colour printing solutions is transferred to both resellers and customers so that they directly reap the benefits," said Dal Medico. "XL Solutions has a similar philosophy, so the partnership rests on a common foundation."
She added that businesses of all sizes have high expectations of colour printing technology and for posters and industrial and engineering designs, quality and accuracy are critical.
The partnership agreement between Square One and XL Solutions took effect from 1 March.
