Ulead Photo Explorer 2.0 for Mac, a complete media management tool for acquiring, organising and sharing image, video and other media files on Macintosh computers, is now available in a downloadable retail version from Ulead Systems distributor, the Square One Solutions Group.
JSE-listed Square One has sole distribution rights in southern Africa for products from Ulead Systems, Inc, a leading developer of image editing, video editing and Web graphics software. Previously only available bundled with brand-name hardware products, the new software is based on the award-winning Ulead Photo Explorer 7.0 Pro for Windows.
Photo Explorer 2.0 for Mac offers an easy to navigate, yet rich pallet of image management and enhancement tools specifically designed for digital camera owners. It is combatable with OS X, yet also supports Mac users running OS 9.x or OS 8.6.

The software provides the tools to manage photos with convenient folder tree views, image thumbnail previews, and easy drag-and-drop sorting capabilities. Its flexible support for video, audio, animation and 3D files allows users to move beyond basic image management.
With Photo Explorer 2.0's unique ability to read EXIF metadata, digital camera enthusiasts can access important information such as date, exposure and camera settings. Auto conversion features allow users to convert multiple images from one format to another while the auto-rename function quickly renames files after transferring them from the digital camera.
Dedicated photo enhancement capabilities let users remove red-eye, crop, rotate or flip their photographs and effortlessly Improve the look of images with advanced enhancement tools such as hue, saturation, brightness and contrast, colour balance, and blur. Photo Explorer also includes sharpening tools as well as the ability to add captions or text to photos. All photo enhancement features can be applied to a single photo or batch of images to save time.
