Staffware and PPS chosen as finalists for the 2003 GIGA award for Workflow Excellence

Johannesburg, 27 Mar 2003

Professional Provident Society Insurance Company Limited (PPS), together with Staffware, leaders in Business Process Management (BPM) and Workflow, have been nominated as a finalist for the 2003 GIGA Global Excellence in Workflow Award for innovation and excellence in workflow implementations in the Middle East and Africa regions.

This award is based on recognising organisations that have excelled in implementing innovative workflow solutions ultimately meeting their strategic business objectives.

Says Mark Ehmke, managing director of Staffware SA: "This is the third year in a row that a Staffware customer has reached the finals of the competition. A Staffware implementation has won the gold award for both the previous years and we are hoping that PPS can do the same this year. Telkom Properties won gold in 2001, while the Reserve Bank of Malawi implementation were victors in 2002."

"We are committed to furthering development within the workflow and Business Process Management arena, ensuring our solutions can meet our clients` requirements and more importantly, show strategic business benefits."

Metrofile, the leader in the Southern Africa market for the management of electronic and paper documentation, in partnership with Staffware, provided an enterprise BPM solution at PPS, which has improved efficiencies, retained existing clients and attracted new business for the organization.

The annual awards are co-hosted with the Association for Information and Image Management International (AIIM) conference and expo and are sponsored by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), Giga Information Group and the Workflow And Reengineering International Association (WARIA).
