Delegates from African governments, business and ICT will meet in Cape Town in February for the third annual WSO Digital Africa Summit.
The summit, to be held at the Arabella Sheraton from 8 to 10 February, will focus on the liberalisation of African telecoms.
The event organisers say the summit serves as a neutral platform for delegates to come together and do business, and discuss ICT issues that are essential to the development of their countries and businesses.
This year`s programme includes speakers such as Telkom SA CEO Sizwe Nxasana, Uganda Commission executive director Patrick Masambu, Sentech chairman Sebiletso Mokone-Matabande, Bridges.org executive director Teresa Peters and BT Global Services GM Brian Armstrong.
Dr Salomao Manhica, chairman of The INCM Mozambique National Institute of Communications; Uttam Jawaheer, head of HR development and training at Mauritius Telecom; and Najat Rochdi, regional co-ordinator of ICTDAR/UNDP/WTCC, will also feature.
The attendees will be government ministers for ICT and their most senior staff members, regulators, fixed and mobile network operators and solution providers.
