Stand to win with Microsoft`s Small Business Server channel services rebate promotion

Johannesburg, 05 Sep 2002

Microsoft South Africa has launched a channel initiative whereby its partners will receive a service rebate to the value of R2 000, on the services they provide their customers who purchase Microsoft Small Business Server 2000.

To participate in this initiative, participants must either attend the Microsoft Servers for Small Business Partner Training Event being held in Johannesburg on 17, 18 and 19 September 2002 and in Cape Town on 25 and 26 September 2002, or they can pass the Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 online assessment at www.micosoft.com/southafrica/partner. The rebate is valid for product sold from 1 August 2002 until 31 January 2003.

At the Microsoft Servers for Small Business Partner Training Event, channel partners will receive valuable tools and resources to assist them in selling solutions to their small business customers. Additionally, partners will receive three hours of hands-on experience with Small Business Server as well as an overview of how to preinstall Small Business Server 2000 on a new server during the for System Builders session.

Anton Jacobsz, OEM and SMB channel manager at Microsoft South Africa, says: "The Channel Services Rebate Promotion and Small Business Server event reflects Microsoft`s commitment to our partners, and through this we aim to provide a complete understanding of Small Business Server 2000, allowing the small business community to realise its full potential."

A not for resale (NFR) copy of Small Business Server 2000 will be given to each attendee at the event. Partners wanting to partake in the rebate promotion are required to attend the Microsoft Servers for Small Business Partners Training Event or alternatively need to pass the Small Business Server online assessment.
