In line with London-listed Dimension Data`s iCommerce strategy, PlaNET Technology Solutions - the e-commerce operation of the Group`s Asian subsidiary, Datacraft - is joining forces with leading financial information provider Standard & Poor`s to deliver real-time global financial and capital market content to the Asian market.
PlaNET is integrating Standard & Poor`s ComStock`s datafeeds into its InterCOM Web portal solution architecture, to provide its banking and finance customers with not just a superior technical platform but the content to help make their online trading services successful.
Standard & Poor`s ComStock provides real-time worldwide financial information, including securities, foreign exchange and commodities data from more than 125 exchanges worldwide as well as news, historic information and software applications, to retail and online brokers, financial planners and advisers, institutional investors, and online portal redistributors. ComStock`s global real-time datafeed can be supplemented with proprietary information and services from the entire Standard & Poor`s organisation.
"PlaNET`s selection by Standard & Poor`s ComStock is a coup for the company," says Ronnie Wee, managing director of PlaNET Technology Solutions Pte Ltd.
"PlaNET`s financial portal solution is already a strong product but the combination with ComStock`s global market information will help our customers compete in the borderless financial marketplace."
Thanks to the modular architecture of the PlaNET`s web solution, ComStock`s digital datafeeds can be plugged into the InterCOM Connectors data access layers of the financial portal. These datafeeds can be easily tailored to client needs through customised interfaces that allow the format in which information is received to be defined. Market data can be charted, analysed and manipulated within the customisable desktop environment
