Starleaton enables fast online ordering
Starleaton Digital Solutions has uploaded its entire range of wide-format digital printing products to its new Web site, enabling fast online ordering of supplies for signage, display, photographic, fine art and protective media, inks and equipment, says the Wide Format.
Account customers will be invited to log into 'The Promiseland' - a landing page that seeks to replicate the same face-to-face service that Starleaton is renowned for.
'We Promise' has become Starleaton's catchphrase reflecting the company's commitment to deliveries, service, product quality and the environment.
Europe to improve e-commerce
The European parliament is hoping to improve the e-commerce landscape by striking an accord between shoppers' rights and vendors' rights to do business, states V3.
Information society and media commissioner Viviane Reding said in a statement that the Parliament wants to boost its own internal markets, while ensuring that the services given to customers are fair.
The initiative will result in the release of the Consumer Rights Directive designed to harmonise selling rules across the continent.
Illinois tax could cost small enterprises
Illinois is dangerously close to making an already challenging economy even more difficult for thousands of small businesses with a new e-commerce tax, reveals Chicago Sun Times.
Lawmakers in Springfield recently passed the measure, referred to as the 'Amazon' or 'Groupon' tax, without regard for the potential impact on Illinois' technology businesses.
Like several states, Illinois is seeking to generate revenue from e-commerce transactions by taxing companies that have no physical presence, or nexus, in the state - a measure the US Supreme Court prohibited in 1992.
