Can your car guide you along the best route to your destination at the push of a button? Do your kids look forward to long journeys because they can watch their favourite videos from the backseat? Cutting-edge digital technologies are revolutionising car capabilities and making drive time a pleasure.

These latest GPS, in-car entertainment devices and vehicle security products are just some of the many digital technologies on show at the DigitalLife Expo at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg.

Running from 18 to 20 April 2008, the Expo offers you the chance to get quite literally to grips with state-of-the-art digital gadgets that could transform your lifestyle.

Sport fanatics will be able to try out the latest mobile heart-rate monitors, while computer game buffs pit their skills against top Internet games on leading-edge gaming consoles.

From 3G services, video smartphones, GPS systems and digital photography to WiFi broadband office connectivity to home entertainment, the expo gives you hi-tech solutions for every facet of modern life.

A star attraction is South Africa's first walk-through Digital Home. One lucky visitor will win the host of entertainment, household and communication technologies, valued at R250 000, that are featured in the Digital Home.

Stars from Idols, Survivor and Isidingo are also set to raise the expo's glam quotient with daily guest appearances.

This one-of-a-kind event features five pavilions that will showcase every feasible digital application: Mobile & Personal Technology, Digital Life on the Go, Technology at Work, Appliances & Home Automation and Digital Services. DigitalLife Workshops will also provide an easy-to-follow, hands-on introduction to key technologies.
