Head of Global Convergence Propositions at BT Global Services, Steve Masters, will join the impressive array of expert speakers at this year's Gartner Africa Symposium.
He will be sharing BT's "Big Thinking" around operational IT efficiency in order to leverage growth in emerging markets.
Masters leads the development of offerings for IP networking and IT services propositions, aimed at corporate companies and government organisations for BT services around the world.
With over 20 years' experience of networking, IT and the telecommunications industry, Masters' knowledge and experience of managed voice, mobile and video conferencing services, convergence solutions, data centre hosting and security service is extensive.
Championing the unified communication and collaboration vision for BT and its customers, during his Solution Session at the Gartner Symposium on Tuesday 19th August at 16h30, Masters plans to provide insight into the concept of service-oriented infrastructure (SOI) and how organisations can adopt SOI to enter new markets and geographies quickly and with the greatest impact.
He will also look at the opportunities for SOI to provide on-demand network, computing and storage and understand how unified communications and collaboration become aligned to the business process, enhancing the process capability, reducing human latency and any human break points in that process.
