Strategic partnership is an online boon for medical professionals

[Bronwen Kausch] HealthBridge and Brainware Health have announced a strategic partnership that will provide practitioners access to e-commerce facilities. The joining of from Brainware and e-commerce services from HealthBridge will offer practitioners real-time claim submission, eligibility checks and pre-authorised payments for certain services.

HealthBridge will supply the infrastructure and e-commerce services, while Brainware will supply the Windows-based practice management software application, Brainware `98.

HealthBridge, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Solution, which in turn is a subsidiary of Dimension Data and Brainware Health (a subsidiary of Brainware Limited), will embark on an aggressive roll-out to the medical practitioner market. It will make use of joint marketing and co-branding advertising campaigns.

It remains to be seen how the market will react to the news of the partnership as the breakdown of Brainware and Altech talks took its toll on the Brainware share price.
