InterSwitch Nigeria has been named Stratus Technologies' EMEA “Partner of the Year”.
The award, presented by Dick Sharod, African regional director at Stratus Technologies, was handed over to Mitchell Elegbe, CEO, and Charles Ifedi, Chief Strategist from InterSwitch, at the InterSwitch Techno Interactive awards ceremony, an event that acknowledges best practices across numerous categories within the Nigerian banking sector.
"What made InterSwitch stand out across the region were the values they embodied as a partner. Doing business with InterSwitch is also very predictable, which is quite refreshing. They make annual and quarterly commitments, and either stick to them or exceed them. In FY09 InterSwitch grew their Stratus revenue by 220%, due in no small part to the adoption of VMware on Stratus ftServer proposition,” says Sharod.
“InterSwitch has always been the first of our partners to take new Stratus products in-house for evaluation,” Sharod continues. “InterSwitch is well known for the investment they make in their staff, which includes training on new products and industry certification. This sort of investment then allows InterSwitch the ability to recommend a tried and tested availability solution to their customers in the West Africa region.”
"Seven years back, we took a big bet on Stratus as a technology and organisation to be the platform for our partner banks,” says Elegbe. “Today, I'm happy to report that we've had no outages on our Stratus servers, an experience shared by our partner banks."
Elegbe went on to dedicate the award to his team and all the hard work they put in, and thanked InterSwitch's partner banks for all their continued support.
