Alison Treadaway, Managing Director at Striata, a global leader in paperless communication, says Striata is seeking small black-owned IT businesses to support with messaging strategy, software and services.

"Striata is committed to the principles of BBBEE and specifically to the empowerment of black-owned enterprises. Whereas in the past, we have assisted a number of organisations, including a talent placement agency and a gifting supplier, recent changes in the ICT sector codes require that companies select enterprise development beneficiaries that are in the same sector as their line of business.

"Our enterprise development approach is to provide access to skills, knowledge and infrastructure within our specific area of expertise, namely electronic messaging. This includes digital marketing, secure document delivery and customer life cycle communication," explains Treadaway.

To qualify for assistance, the company must fall under the information and communications technology (ICT) sector and meet the following requirements:

* Must be a legal and registered entity compliant with SARS requirements, and able to provide company and VAT registration documents.
* Must employ at least three permanent personnel.
* Must be an EME or QSE enterprise with over 50% black ownership and able to provide a rating certificate, shareholder ID documents, and proof of turnover (under R35 million per annum).

If you believe your business qualifies to apply as a Striata Enterprise Development Beneficiary, please send your motivation and supporting documents to ed@za.striata.com.
