Johannesburg-based Striata has announced a R1 million infrastructure upgrade to meet an increasing demand for electronic billing, marketing and customer relationship management services in SA.
"Striata is sending 12 million e-mail messages on behalf of customers each month and the new infrastructure has been implemented to meet increasing demand," says Brandon van den Berg, COO of Striata.
The infrastructure upgrade conducted in the past four months includes enhanced storage capacity, performance, scalability and redundancy for disaster recovery through the creation of dual operating environments.
"The objective of the infrastructure upgrade was to achieve 99.9% uptime with the ability to build and deliver messages more quickly and with less maintenance while at the same time catering for ongoing growth," says Van den Berg.
He claims the combination of the new infrastructure and an upgrade to version 2.5 of Striata's application platform has more than doubled the company's operational speed and capacity.
