Strive Software International (

) is proud to announce that CIDA City Campus has selected ICAS (Integrated Campus Administration System) as its campus administration system.

The CIDA City Campus concept is the brainchild of Taddy Blecher, head of this innovative tertiary education institution. At CIDA City Campus students from disadvantaged communities around the country are studying for their Bachelor of Business Administration degree, in the heart of Johannesburg. They take charge of running the campus and use the latest in distance learning technology.

ICAS is an integrated education administration system and will assist CIDA City Campus with functions ranging from registration of students, timetabling, allocation of resources, analysis of productivity, storing results, through to library administration and alumni.

The system is targeted at the entire education and training sector, including colleges, universities, professional institutes and schools. The system is scalable and extremely user-friendly. The implementation process is enhanced by the availability of unique implementation wizards and an audio-visual training CD. ICAS integrates with most of the popular accounting packages available.

ICAS is also used in corporations, where it provides coordination of training and knowledge management within organisations, linking employee training and development to business needs.

Strive Software International was established in Johannesburg in 1997 by Shaun Swartz. The seed for ICAS was sown in 1995 when Swartz was creating manual timetables for colleges. The current version of ICAS includes a highly sophisticated and versatile timetabling system together with 19 other integrated modules. ICAS is a completely South African owned and developed product.

Strive's unique sales approach includes the use of carefully selected sales and technical partners to market ICAS, both locally in SA, into Africa and internationally. This enables staff at Strive to stay focused on what they do best, namely development and support.

Clients are delighted with the advantages that the ICAS system affords them. ICAS's client list spans leading colleges, universities, professional institutions, schools and corporate training environments. ICAS has over 100 sites running in SA. Clients find that one of the key leverages of the system is that it assists them to manage, measure and enhance the viability and profitability of their campuses.

Swartz's vision is to expand on his already secure client base and constantly improve the ICAS product functionality to meet his clients' needs.
