Local Macromedia solutions distributor and Web enablement specialist, Dax Data, has announced Macromedia Studio MX Plus, a special edition of the company`s suite of integrated tools that now includes Macromedia FreeHand MX.
Jeremy Matthews, managing director of Dax Data, says Macromedia Studio MX Plus helps customers leverage their existing investments and enhance user experiences for organisations faced with smaller budgets and development teams.
"Our customers are being asked to do more with fewer resources - to wear multiple hats, to deliver complex projects within tighter time frames, and to better leverage their existing investments," says Matthews.
Studio MX Plus is a commercial edition for Windows customers and also includes Macromedia Contribute, an easy way to update content for any HTML Web site, and Macromedia DevNet Resource Kit Special Edition, which contains extensions, components and resources that make it easier to build Web applications.
Since its introduction last June, more than 350 000 customers have purchased Studio MX, making it the fastest adopted product in the company`s history. The basic product includes Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, FreeHand and ColdFusion MX Developer Edition.
Studio MX Plus is immediately available and a 30-day trial copy can be ordered from Dax Data by e-mailing: info@daxdata.co.za.
Incorporated in September 1989, Dax Data has offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, is an IBM Business Partner, a Microsoft Solution Provider and holds local distribution rights for Macromedia, NetManage, MGI, Tango/04, DataMirror and Graphon products. The company has an extensive skills-base for these products, assisting southern African enterprises to tackle complex host-to-any connectivity issues, Internet-based delivery mechanisms and data replication solutions.
Dax Data and its partners offer value-added services around the Web enablement of business applications - in effect, helping customers to maximise their investment in legacy systems by making the data, information and applications they contain available across multiple backend and client technologies.
