The KZN Innovation Support Centre (KZNISC) is conducting a study on the innovation and entrepreneurial support needs in the ICT and embedded systems sectors in KwaZulu-Natal. Greg Diana, KZNISC CEO, says "the baseline study is designed to position KZN companies on the global map".
The study is funded by Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) and the European Union through the SA government`s Godisa programme (www.godisa.net).
The KZN Innovation Support Centre and Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal aim to identify new global market opportunities and facilitate the development of global business networks. Technoscene, a technology management consulting company, has been commissioned to undertake the study. The KZNISC is inviting companies, and especially SMMEs, in KwaZulu-Natal to take part in this study to assist it to draw up a profile of the market dynamics and innovation behaviour of the sectors. Participants will have access to a database to be made available by the KZNISC. The baseline study can be accessed at: www.technoscene.co.za/kznisc
