SuccessFactors lands Siemens deal
SuccessFactors, maker of SaaS applications for employee performance and talent management, has landed a global agreement with Siemens, in another sign of the on-demand model's growing acceptance by enterprises, reports PC World.
The California vendor's software will be rolled out to 420 000 users in 80 countries, and in 20 languages, according to SuccessFactors.
In a statement, Siemens said it went with the vendor in order to standardise on a single platform and separate "strategic execution and management" from its transactional HR systems.
InQuira kicks off corporate knowledge challenge
InQuira, a provider of enterprise knowledge solutions for Web self-service, contact centre support and knowledge intranets, has begun the Corporate Knowledge IQ Challenge for real-time knowledge assessment, says PR Newswire.
Developed in conjunction with IBM, the programme is designed to help companies determine the effectiveness of their knowledge management initiatives.
At the cornerstone is the Knowledge Assessment Tool, a free online survey that evaluates seven critical categories of enterprise knowledge effectiveness: Reuse; creation and maintenance; leadership and culture; measurement, self-service; communities and collaboration; and technology.
OrangeHRM upgrades HR solution
OrangeHRM, a provider of open source HR management solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, has announced the newest version of its product: OrangeHRM 2.4.2, states Linux PR.
The new version aims to make the installation easier for the entire range of users.
In the past, when installing OrangeHRM, its installer used to create the required MySQL database and for this it required MySQL administrator user details. But you don't get MySQL administrator user details from shared Web hosts.
