Support for Microsoft .NET Framework by Compuware

Johannesburg, 04 Dec 2000

Microsoft sees Compuware tools as extremely important in ensuring the reliability, performance and scalability of Web applications developed to the Microsoft .NET framework.

So says John Montgomery, group product manager for Microsoft .NET Framework at Microsoft Corporation.

Recognising that Microsoft`s .NET framework could effect a development renaissance, Compuware is supporting this powerful, robust platform.

As an early and active supporter of .NET, Compuware`s product development team has been working closely with Microsoft to help ensure Compuware`s market-leading e-business developer and testing tools fully support the Microsoft .NET framework.

At Microsoft`s recent professional developer`s conference, Compuware demonstrated a future version of its development tools suite, NuMega DevPartner Studio, on applications developed with Microsoft .NET technologies including C, Active Server Pages, Web Forms, Web Services and Win Forms.

In addition to DevPartner Studio, Compuware demonstrated its recently announced TestPartner testing software - the first testing tool specifically designed to benefit both developers and testers. Fully integrated with both DevPartner Studio and Compuware`s QACenter, TestPartner supports a wide range of other Microsoft technologies including Visual Basic Applications Edition, Visual C++ and third party ActiveX Controls.

TestPartner collects valuable test and debugging to help developers and testers deliver reliable, high performance software applications. Together, the DevPartner and TestPartner products will provide the most comprehensive range of testing and analysis tools supporting the Microsoft .NET framework.

As a member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Integration Program, Compuware will be tightly integrating DevPartner Studio into Microsoft Visual Studio, including the upcoming version of Visual Studio.NET.

"We are excited about the close cooperation between Microsoft and Compuware," says Grant Kirk, Numega account manager at Compuware SA. "Together we can help developers to increase productivity and develop rich Internet user experiences."
