SurePayroll upgrades payroll

SurePayroll has upgraded its online payroll service for accountants with same-day enrolment, Saturday customer support hours, and free human resources and compliance tools, says WebCPA.

SurePayroll is introducing HR how-to guides, an alerts and reminders service that allows a business owner to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries, and business forms that pre-populate with employee information.

When a customer adds a new employee to the payroll system, I-9, W-4 and direct deposit forms automatically pop up pre-populated with the new employee's information.

Avaya has renewed its HR support contract with Convergys for five years, states TMCnet.

Under the terms of the renewed contract, Convergys will continue to provide HR and finance transactional management, payroll administration, HR administration, benefits administration, service centre support, and employee and manager self-service navigational support to Avaya.

Convergys had assumed operation of Avaya's global employee service operations serving EMEA and Asia Pacific in May 2003 through a multi-year contract extension arrangement.

US Xpress plans to introduce a 100% electronic payroll solution offered through TransCard and the Discover Network, according to PR Newswire.

The implementation of the Discover Network Payroll Cards will allow US Xpress to enhance the company's existing electronic payroll, and it will assist in the company's efforts to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

The combination of the new TransCard payroll and electronic pay stub product with the company's current direct-deposit offerings will allow US Xpress to further reduce the company's environmental footprint.
