SurfControl Web Filter for Blue Coat provides organisations with the ability to manage policy at a granular level and provides full monitoring and reporting capabilities.
SurfControl filtering and reporting capabilities can now be integrated into Blue Coat Proxy SG appliances. The Blue Coat Proxy SGTM family of appliances (ProxySG 400 Series, 800 Series and 8000 Series) delivers a scalable proxy solution for centralised or distributed enterprise environments.

SurfControl Web Filter for Blue Coat employs the largest database of high-risk Web content, classified by Web site into 40 easy-to-manage categories. It manages Web access by time of day and has access to the most comprehensive and accurate list of categorised URLs.
An optional Monitoring and Reporting module, installed on a Windows server, lets you identify your organisation`s Internet behaviour, enabling you to create an acceptable use policy (AUP) that is right for your organisation.
A Blue Coat server continuously monitors all traffic passing through the firewall to ensure that all AUPs are fully and fairly enforced on all users sending and receiving information over the network.
SurfControl makes these policy-enforcing decisions possible by providing the industry leading SurfControl URL database directly on the Blue Coat appliance. SurfControl also provides reports that show user activity, blocked sites and other information that can help administrators analyse Internet activity and policy compliance. The SurfControl Reporter is installed on a separate Windows Server.
